About us

We’re building the table founding forgot to set.

MyKind began with a simple, stubborn observation: the people doing the loneliest work rarely have anywhere to put it down.

Founders are surrounded by people and still alone. Teams need certainty. Investors need optimism. Friends from before have drifted. So the doubt gets carried in private — and that’s expensive, for the person and the company.

MyKind exists to fix the room, not the founder. There’s nothing wrong with you for finding this hard; there’s just been nowhere to be honest about it. So we built one: a standing biweekly dinner with a small circle of vetted founders, where nobody’s pitching and everybody already understands the weight.

We’re not a network. We’re a table — and a standing invitation to stop performing for a few hours.

What we believe

  • Recognition beats advice. Most of the time, founders don’t need another opinion — they need to feel understood by someone who’s been there.
  • Small and consistent wins. Six people who keep returning to the same table build more trust than a thousand-person conference ever could.
  • Discretion is sacred.Honesty only exists where it’s safe. Confidentiality is the foundation we build everything else on.
  • Curation is care.Vetting every member by hand is slower — and it’s the entire point.

How it started

MyKind grew out of an informal dinner between a few founders who’d quietly hit walls at the same time. The relief in that room was so obvious that the only real question became: why doesn’t this exist for everyone? So we made it a membership — handling the vetting, the matching, and the booking, so any founder can simply show up and find their kind.

Every member is reviewed by hand, so the founder beside you is always the real thing.
